The hotel has a good location, a nice garden, clean and comfortable rooms, and a good breakfast. In summer the rooms were a bit hot, especially under the roof, and there was no air conditioning or fan. The real problem was the family management, which showed very little hospitality. The owner would shout at guests over any excuse, give long lectures, and never listen. On our arrival day, she angrily claimed she'd told us the previous day when the restaurant stopped taking orders. We had only just arrived and checked in with her, but she wouldn't hear that. A person who seemed to be a relative was handling service and check-ins and check-outs, and openly laughed at guests amid the confusion. The disrespect was unacceptable, and at times it felt like the business was being run by people out of their minds. From conversations around the village, it seems these management problems are well known. Frankly, it was horrible and repulsive. What a pity.

The garden and pond are lovely, so make sure to see them. The hotel is really nice, and the owner and staff are friendly and helpful enough to make the stay worthwhile. Recommended.

The rooms were large, the location was great, and everyone was friendly. Breakfast was great, and the cakes were tasty too!
