The apartment is clean and nicely furnished, and the owners were easy to reach by phone and quick to answer questions. There's a parking space a few meters away in Essiggasse. The location is lovely, right in the old town and just a minute from the market square. The setup takes a little getting used to: the rooms lead straight off the hallway and are split across two floors. The roughly 400-year-old house has a key box for entry, with a small apartment on the ground floor. The larger apartment has four bedrooms, with the living room, open kitchen and one bathroom on the first floor, and the bedrooms plus another bathroom on the second. There are no blackout blinds in the living room, so the pull-out sofa in the play area is probably only comfortable for early risers. The old house, and likely the plumbing, can make the hallway and bathrooms smell musty at times, though I never noticed it in the living room or bedrooms.

The double room with balcony had a fridge, coffee maker, kettle and more, and breakfast was excellent. The guesthouse is modern and thoughtfully furnished, and the landlady was very friendly. Before we arrived, Mrs. Kühne sent directions to the parking area, which made getting there stress-free. The location is ideal, the website is clear and informative, and questions get answered quickly. Apartments are available too. We wholeheartedly recommend staying here. The hosts were so warm and welcoming, and we had a wonderful weekend. The place is lovely, clean, tasteful and practical, with a lot of care in the furnishings. Half-timbered architecture paired with a modern style. We'll definitely be back!
