Hotel Kaiserhof

We were there as a family with two kids and had a nice stay. The room was very nice and had what we needed. The staff were helpful and supportive, and we enjoyed both dinner and breakfast. We’d stay again.

The restaurant food was wonderful, and the staff were super welcoming. The hotel was also spotlessly clean. It’s right in the city center, so you can reach all the amenities on foot. Definitely recommend it for either a short or long stay. 👍🏼

The restaurant was pretty good for dinner, and the Radenberger brewery and beer add some character. The hotel itself is old, though it was clean. Not old in a charming way, more like a grandpa’s 90s style. Some things need maintenance, such as the water temperature, which was impossible to control and changed randomly. Mostly, it just feels old.

The restaurant serves delicious food in portions that are way too big. Staff are polite and professional, and most speak acceptable English. Guest rooms are nice and quiet, though the beds are on the hard side and the blankets too cold. The smaller conference room works well for about 20 people with laptops. WLAN tickets are limited to 500 MB per person per day, so avoid Prezi or Office Web Apps. The hotel and restaurant are the official brewery tavern of the Radeberger Exportbrauerei, just a five-minute walk away. It’s one of only a handful of places serving Radeberger's Zwickelbier, which contains active yeasts. The parking lot is somewhere other than where GPS sends you based on the street address. You can’t securely lock bicycles outside, so staff let us lock them inside. That seems not to be possible when there are events in the big hall, Kaisersaal, since the bikes would have to stand in the entrance hall. Without events, they’re locked safely inside.
