Radisson Blu Park Hotel & Conference Centre

Parking was convenient and well organized, and the staff were very polite and welcoming. The hotel has a beautiful view and a great atmosphere. Breakfast was fairly average, though, and it was disappointing that room service wasn’t available. Still, I had a pleasant stay.

The room was clean and the staff were very friendly, but the hotel didn’t feel up to the Radisson Hotel Group’s 4-star standard. The bed was uncomfortable and the pillows were very poor. There were no outlets by the bed, only one across the room near the TV, apparently because this is an older hotel. The walls are so thin that noise from outside and other rooms carries easily. Parking is available for €16 per day, but that cost wasn’t clearly explained beforehand.

My room in the main building had been renovated, so I didn’t have the run-down room issue mentioned in reviews of the other buildings, though the hotel still isn’t very modern. Cleanliness was okay-ish. Breakfast and dinner were fine, and this large conference hotel worked well enough even though I wasn’t there for a conference. The bar only opens when a big conference is underway. It’s outside the city, so I’d recommend having a car, though public transport is an option too. I wouldn’t avoid the hotel, but next time in Dresden I’ll go back to a hotel in Neustadt.

On my trip from Switzerland, I stayed at the Radisson Blu Park Hotel & Conf. As a Radisson VIP customer, I found the service unacceptably poor. I waited at reception without adequate help or appropriate communication. The room had no water stocked and the bar was empty. I also wasn’t clearly told whether breakfast was complimentary or chargeable for VIP guests. These problems point to management and service delivery that need attention. After the long drive, the experience affected my family and me significantly, and I won’t stay at this property again.
