Brandenburg and Rathenow are close enough for a boat trip, and there’s a café right next door. The place itself is peaceful. We’d recommend it.

The nice surroundings were the one bright spot. The bungalow was dirty throughout when we arrived, with hornets in the extractor hood and all over the place, plus a strong odor from the hood. The kitchen was dirty, very outdated, and poorly equipped. The owners came across as unfriendly and rather controlling. For what we got, a week cost far too much. Overall, neither the bungalow nor the owners made for a good stay.

The terrace has a beautiful view, and the kitchen has the equipment you need. The place was clean and in good condition. Towels are the one thing they don’t provide.

The online photos looked very promising, which makes it a shame that we couldn’t really get to the property to see it. It was difficult to find, there were no signs, and access seemed impossible. We also couldn’t see any way down to the lake.
