The food kept us coming back: the regular menu has reliable German favorites, while the seasonal dishes are more inventive and seem to change about once a month. Prices were reasonable, and the beer and wine were good and served cold. Service was friendly, too. The only downside was that the restaurant served dinner only, and was closed on Wednesday nights. We needed a place in Möggingen for a six-month stay after our housing plans fell through, and were lucky to find the Adler during its slow season. It's a small inn, over 200 years old, with six or seven guest rooms, each different, and it's also home to Möggingen's only restaurant. Bettina and Matthias are wonderful hosts with an artistic touch. We were very comfortable there, and friends who stayed for shorter visits loved their experiences as well.
