The place was expensive, breakfast wasn't good, and it felt like there was an extra charge for everything. I paid 6 Euros for hot water.

The restaurant terrace has a great view, and it's a really nice spot to spend time with friends. My burger was delicious and cooked just as I asked, with a choice of well done or medium. I'll definitely be back 😊

This is a Naturfreundehaus, so don't expect hotel-style rooms or furnishings. They don't claim to offer that, though. My shared room was clean and had a shower, towels, a balcony, and closets. I really enjoyed the stay, especially the very friendly staff and the nice breakfast the next morning. You can sit outside and look out at the lake.

Our office Christmas party here had a “Krimi Dinner” theme, with two performers playing four characters. Food came between the scenes, and the vegetarian dishes were included and tasted very good. I'd recommend it!

Right by the lake in Markelfingen, the NaturFreundehaus Bodensee is a beautiful place for a relaxed day or an event. It has two large houses available to rent, one for bigger groups and one for smaller ones. From my experience, the service was excellent and the staff very friendly. It can get crowded on sunny days, especially during school holidays, and the parking lot fills up. I'd suggest coming by bike.
