Hotel Zur Fernmühle

My evening was ruined. The food was bad, and my dish was so salty I had to spit it out and couldn’t eat it. I told the waitress and asked for a salad instead. While I was in the restroom, she told me that five people in the kitchen had tried it and said it wasn’t salty, then said I should have mentioned in advance that I didn’t need salt. It was extremely salty. She never apologized for the chef’s mistake and kept gaslighting me. Later she charged me for 0.4 lemonade, although I’d only had 0.2. A horrible experience, with really bad restaurant service. We’d come there to celebrate.

The spot is so peaceful, right beside the river, and the hotel and restaurant made for a relaxed stay. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful with everything, and kids are very welcome. There are nice walks in the area too. It’s a top location for unwinding.

The meal was really tasty, and I liked the place a lot. The waitress was very handsome, and the setting by the river Saale is lovely. There’s sometimes a slightly odd smell, but it was okay since the food smelled so good and covered it up. A beautiful place to eat, especially on sunny days.
