The room wasn't great, and breakfast service was dire. We were put up here by Lufthansa after our flight was cancelled. Check-in itself went well, but we were given the wrong dinner time. We arrived just five minutes late and found the restaurant shut. The man at reception wouldn't listen or let us eat, so we had to go somewhere else. The friendly woman who checked us in was the one bright spot.

The bed was really comfortable, and both the room and bathroom were clean. The location is great too. But we booked for two and found just one pillow and a single duvet on the bed. The receptionist also seemed annoyed that we were checking in very late.

We were put in this “accommodation” after an Etihad flight disruption, and the room was freezing. The heating simply wasn't adequate. When I asked reception for a “warm” room, they turned me down and gave me an arrogant reply. Why is a hotel in Germany still without proper heating in the 21st century?

I’ve stayed here more than six times in different rooms. Only once did I need to switch, because the ventilation wasn't working, and the staff took my concern seriously and moved me to a room where it did. The price is fairly low, and the place has the basics you need. Elly has been especially kind and caring during my stays, and very patient and accommodating with me even though I don’t speak German and there's a bit of a language barrier. I’m looking forward to coming back to airways.

The rooms were decent, the front desk staff friendly, and the gym was cool. Those are the reasons I gave it a few stars. But nobody cleaned my room for four days, so I had to take my old towels down for fresh ones and leave my trash outside. There’s no restaurant or food, though the front desk did offer apples at the counter. The hotel name is misleading. Marriott is a Frankfurt Airport hotel, but this one isn't actually at the airport. I found out when arranging transport that it was not 10 minutes away, and then had trouble getting a refund in time when I tried to cancel. Fortunately, I screenshot everything before paying, including the listing that said the booking was fully refundable. I arrived a day before my spouse and took a bus to the hotel. I asked the older male receptionist to arrange an airport taxi for my husband. He said it would cost 70 euros for the trip from the hotel to the airport and back. The taxi is supposedly 30 euros from the airport, which already seemed too much. I found it better to take the S8 train or bus72 from the Airport to Raunheim. A taxi from the train station to the hotel only cost me 7 euros, and the next times I walked because it’s only a 13 min walk.
