Das Schokoladenhotel

Kevin welcomed us at reception, and his friendliness, service, and knowledge of both the hotel and the area were incredible. If I owned a hotel, I’d want someone like him on the team. The breakfast was the best I’ve had at a hotel, with a great selection, and the staff serving it on 3 September 2022 were so kind and helpful. There’s chocolate everywhere here, and it’s really good, with all kinds to choose from. The whole hotel felt fresh and clean, our room was perfect, and the relaxation area with its pool, sauna, and jacuzzi was wonderful. It’s right by the centre of this small, cozy town, has a large parking lot just outside, and seems suited to all kinds of guests. I really recommend it.

The breakfast was the best I’ve had in Germany, and I travel a lot. The pool was lovely, as were the sauna and the one-person jacuzzi. Staff were very friendly. The rooms were good, though not the best. I enjoyed both of my stays and will definitely return.

Kevin looked after all of us so well, the service was outstanding. They know chocolate here, with all sorts of chocolates and pralines that tasted amazing. Breakfast was delicious too, honestly so good. It’s a lovely little hotel in a cozy village, and nearly everything was glorious. Our room did seem a bit warm, which was the only issue I can think of. I hope we get back.

The spa and hotel were great, but the beds in the suite were awful. They were so hard that we struggled to get decent sleep. I don’t understand why a hotel would buy mattresses that hard, since they seem suited to such a small group of people. Too bad.
