Hotel Waldhorn

The Waldhorn gave our party of five a wonderful Christmas Day meal. Even though it was December 25th and busy, the service stayed friendly and attentive throughout. The staff, including the many young employees, clearly knew how to look after diners. We haven't had such warm, attentive service in a long time. The roast duck was the best we've ever had, and all the meats were tender and cooked just right. We tried roast pork, schnitzel, and roast beef with onions too. The sides were just as good: flavorful red cabbage, lovely dumplings, and delicious sauces. We started with Gaisburger Marsch and duck liver pâté. Both were delicious, and the pâté came with fresh bread and cranberries. For dessert we had Kaiserschmarrn and cinnamon panna cotta, and couldn't get over how good they were. We left absolutely delighted. The Waldhorn didn't leave us wanting for anything. Thank you for such a lovely evening!

The Swabian food tasted really good, and it's nice that they offer non-alcoholic wine. It can get pretty noisy when the place is full, though. That's not necessarily a problem, just something to keep in mind.

The location has a lovely feel, and the staff are so welcoming and attentive that you feel at home straight away. We had two asparagus dishes with potatoes and hollandaise, one of them with salmon. Everything was delicious: the asparagus was fresh and cooked perfectly, the sauce was great, and the salmon was done just right too. :)

The new Waldhorn has a really nice atmosphere. We enjoyed the mountain cheese spaetzle and spinach dumplings in mushroom cream sauce, both served with a fresh side salad and a great dressing.
