A really cozy place with a classic old German feel.

The rooms are roomy and feel homely, and there are sights around the city close by. Drinks are reasonably priced too. Thanks so much, I'd definitely come back.

Breakfast at the hotel across the street was fantastic, and the staff were super friendly. We stayed in the apartment offered by the Obertor during a family visit. It had plenty of space for four, including a baby bed, and everything we needed for a short stay in Ravensburg. From right beside the Obertor, one of Ravensburg's three surviving medieval tower gates and the hotel's namesake, we had a perfect view down Marktstraße, one of the city's main old roads. The town is known for its short walking distances, so it was easy to explore on foot. Breakfast is optional. The hotel has been in the same family for generations. The hotel and apartments are in older buildings, which is part of the charm of living in a medieval city, though there are no elevators. Parking is nearby in the hotel's courtyard. We'll definitely stop by again next time we're in town.

Definitely a yes for a rustic inn in Ravensburg. It's very well maintained and quiet, though the space feels tight compared with American hotels. The city tower clock gives you a gentle wake-up call. Downtown and the Marketplace are within walking distance, with great old restaurants around, including places the locals go.

Service and breakfast are very good at this homely hotel on the edge of the historic center. The rooms aren't very large, and the bathroom is even smaller, but it's a good base for exploring the city if you're okay with that.
