I spent a whole week on one of the Woterfitz Solar Houseboats from Rechlin, and the boat was a dream. Even with the heater, fridge-freezer, and electric motor running, the battery never ran out. The team at this boat dock and base were fantastic and helped with everything. Why aren't the boats and manufacturer better known? This isn't some niche product. It's an affordable holiday with all the comforts, and I'll be back.

Hello, fellow motorhome and caravan owners. Go somewhere else!!! It starts at the barrier, which is a 333-meter walk from reception. I called ahead to ask whether I really had to walk all that way, and was told yes, of course, there was no other option. At reception I was then told that people with mobility issues have to report it. ??????? Even after I explained my mobility issue, I still had to trudge through the woods to pick a pitch before checking in with its number. That might sound sensible, but it was a challenge for me. The shower tokens cost €1.60 each, but you can't use them because the showers are filthy and aren't cleaned, just hosed down once a day. They do refund the tokens. Everyone I spoke with thought the showers were disgusting. The toilets, by contrast, are almost always clean because we and others clean them ourselves. Water is easy to get and electricity is available if you have a long cable. There are no grey water disposal or chemical toilet facilities, though the neighboring campsite C15, which is better equipped anyway, offers them to non-residents for a fee. The site is in an oak forest, acorns included :-). The pitches aren't paved, so it's dusty when dry and muddy when wet. That's nature camping. I've included pictures so you can see for yourself. The price is top-notch, but service, amenities, and friendliness are bottom-notch. I know the owner could have this deleted, but that costs money, so I'll just keep posting it... :-))) Best regards

It's a very quiet place to relax by the Bolter Canal and Lake Müritz. The accommodation is holiday homes, not apartments, and there's a campsite as well.

The welcome was very friendly, and the Tonscana restaurant was excellent: the pizza, pasta, and tiramisu were delicious, and the staff were very friendly too. This is a beautiful nature campsite, with a fantastic view of Lake Müritz and unspoiled surroundings, without background noise like cars. The toilets and showers were clean and adequate. A 5-minute shower for €1.30 feels a bit short, and could use another 2 to 3 minutes. We highly recommend the campsite.
