The Wi-Fi didn’t work, and when we contacted the host, they spoke to us as if we were stupid. I’ve travelled for years and never stayed anywhere this horrible. The apartment looked nothing like the photos. Wallpaper was peeling and held back with clear tape, the walls had cracks and holes, and the shower panels were cracked and dirty. The toilet smelled, the radiator was rusty, and the kitchen sinks were dirty. The pillows were completely flat. With no fan or AC, sleeping when it was 30 degrees outside was impossible, but the noisy street meant open windows disturbed our sleep too. This place is a scam. Stay away!

At €160 a night at Christmas, we could have stayed in a clean, modern hotel for the same price. The listing calls this place child friendly and high standard, but we arrived at night in winter with two preschoolers to find the heating had only just been turned on. Cleaning chemicals were left on the bottom shelves of two separate cupboards. The walls were dirty and cracked, with peeling wallpaper, and the flat hadn’t been cleaned well. There was loud party music from downstairs late into the night, and a drunken partygoer or partygoers vomited outside. The shower screen was broken or had never been installed properly, and the kitchen shutter would only come down a quarter of the way. We couldn’t secure the entrance door from inside to keep the kids from opening it. Rubbish was left beside the outside bins, too. And that’s not all.

Everything we expected was there, but the Wi-Fi kept cutting in and out. That’s why I’m giving it four stars.

I only spent the night in the top apartment. It was fine for sleeping, but not somewhere I’d want to spend the day.

A great place for families visiting Regensburg, with all the amenities they need. The location is nice too.
