We had everything we needed for a few days away, and the apartment matched its description exactly. The garden and its pond were lovely, and the owners were so welcoming and generous. We were traveling as a couple for a relaxing stay by the lake. Having a car space beside the house and a garage for our bikes was especially handy, since the apartment sits right on the circular path around Lake Steinhude. We were very happy with our stay and would gladly recommend it.

It’s peaceful here, and the apartment is furnished really well. The sloping ceilings do mean it’s not a good fit for anyone over 1.85 m tall.

The slanted ceilings are something to keep in mind, especially by the beds and in the bathroom, so you need to be okay with that. There’s a private garage, plus public parking just around the corner, and the coded key lock makes arriving late easy. The kitchen has a fridge, stove, oven, microwave, kettle, and both pod and filter coffee makers. They’d also left dish towels, salt and pepper, and a few coffee pods. Plenty of cutlery, dishes, pots, and glasses, too, along with books to read. The two beds are singles, though one is a little wider. With such thoughtful service and good value, I’d definitely recommend booking here.

The Tölle family made us feel at home, they were friendly, helpful, and easy to reach. We spent the weekend here and were completely comfortable. The apartment was very clean and tidy, with all the equipment we needed. At 1.90 m, I had to duck a little under the sloping ceiling, particularly in the bathroom, but it didn’t cause any trouble for a weekend stay. We’ll definitely come back.
