I came here to get away from everything, and the village is lovely and picturesque, with good food at the restaurant. It’s in Alsace-Lorraine, near enough to France that my phone switched to T-Mobile France while I was walking along the river. I had to ask for soap in my room, though, and some of the hotel decor choices seemed questionable, so I’ve knocked off a star.

We felt welcome and looked after here, thanks in part to the warm, attentive service. The food was a real treat, with fresh ingredients, great flavor, and every course done just right. The restaurant sits in a lovely rural setting, and inside, the old sandstone walls and antique style make it especially cozy. You can tell a lot of care went into all the details. A lovely place to unwind and enjoy a meal. We’ll definitely come back.

The hall is beautifully decorated and has plenty of room for events of any size. Staff pay close attention to what guests need, and they’re happy to put together customized menus or accommodate seasonal requests. You can carry on celebrating well past midnight without feeling hurried or stressed. The "Niedtalbahn" train from Dillingen station stops right outside the hotel.

We had a lovely Valentine's Day meal in a beautifully decorated room. The set menu included salad with a choice of two toppings, followed by fish, meat, or vegetarian options for the main course. Everything tasted delicious, and €54 per person felt very fair for the aperitif, salad, soup, main, and dessert. The ladies also received a rose.
