Fletcher Hotel-Restaurant Arnsberg-Sauerland

The staff were very friendly, especially at reception and in the restaurant. The location is beautiful, and the sauna, gym, and swimming pool are excellent. The rooms were cleaned, but the interiors are very old and dirty. The furniture on the 6th floor is especially dated, and the carpets are disgusting and smelly. The bed creaked, and I couldn’t sleep well for two nights. Breakfast was okay, though not great. The potato pancakes we had weren’t crispy and seemed old, or possibly reheated from the day before. On the first night, dinner was included, but the chicken wasn’t fully cooked inside. The TV couldn’t connect to YouTube, Netflix, or a USB, and there wasn’t even a single English channel. The room had paper cups for water, which was really bad. With all respect to the Fletcher team, I hope this feedback helps them fix these issues. I hope things improve, but based on my experience, I wouldn’t come back.

I really liked it! The gym is very well equipped, and the swimming area is warm and clean. The sauna and free fabric are also very well maintained. Every area was comfortable.

The surroundings are beautiful, and hiking there was perfect. The hotel’s location is also ideal. Breakfast had plenty of choice and was good, though a bit expensive. We had dinner at a Greek restaurant about 500 meters from the hotel, and the setting and food were fantastic. Our room wasn’t ready, which was odd since we’d booked early check-in. Once we mentioned it, we got a room right away. It was outdated, the TV didn’t work, and the WiFi was very bad. We mentioned this and were moved to another room. The WiFi was a little better there, but that TV didn’t work either.

It was a terrible stay, and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. There was no air conditioning, so it was too hot for my children to sleep. We’d booked specifically for the swimming pool, but couldn’t use it when we arrived because classes were taking place, and it was closed the next day. The balcony was dirty, with old cigarette butts in the ashtray, and none of the children’s beds had been made when we arrived. Breakfast was very expensive. The hotel refused a refund even though the advertised amenities weren’t available.
