Campingpark Reinsfeld

We stayed here for the adac rally Germany, and the campsite worked out perfectly. Nice place.

The clean, perfectly adequate sanitary facilities and a pitch on a lovely meadow made for a comfortable stay. We could choose our own spot and even order fresh bread rolls for the morning. We'd ended up here unexpectedly after our caravan broke down. Even though it was late, the welcome was exceptionally warm and helpful, both over the phone and once we arrived. The woman at reception also took the trouble that evening to find contact details for car repair shops nearby. That kindness turned an emergency into a pleasant stay. We'll definitely return, hopefully without a breakdown next time.

The place is turning into a chalet park, and it's badly outdated. Don't trust the photos. The prices are high for what you get, and it feels like money matters more than the holiday atmosphere. There's just one toilet block for campers, reception is closed more often than it's open, and the swimming pool hasn't worked for years. The little lake looks nice from far away, but you'd be better off keeping your distance. You can only dispose of rubbish in special bags, which you have to buy at reception for 2 euros each. The Dutch recreation team does try to put on nice things for the children, but if they leave, that's it. Such a shame, because this used to be a great campsite. I won't go back while the Frings family owns it.

The staff were really friendly, and although only one sanitary block was open while we were there, it was always clean. A very nice, quiet campsite. We'd happily come back.
