We had a great stay in Apartment 4. The apartment is quiet, clean, and well equipped, with antique touches, a huge sunny wraparound balcony, and mountain views from the back of the house. The kitchen lacks a microwave, and its TV channel list is jumbled, though the program guide makes channels easy to find. There's a large bed without a footboard, which suited my height, and it was neither too soft nor too firm. The bathroom is clean and a bit small but adequate. On the balcony we used the two folding breakfast tables and drying rack, and there was a parasol for the sun. Booking and communication were smooth despite our very short notice. We asked the evening before and got confirmation around 8:40 a.m. the same day. The website only lets you book for the next day, but same-day bookings can be made through the property manager. Express transfer payment was easy. We hit traffic on the long drive and arrived late, but the key safe made after-hours check-in simple and stress-free. We also arranged to charge our electric car as soon as we arrived. The ABB wallbox worked every time and cost 40 cents/kWh. The house's roof solar panels mean you can charge with self-generated renewable electricity during the day, and settling the charging bill at the end was straightforward. The landlord was very helpful and pleasant, with lots to share about the house and Reit im Winkl. His suggestion of the barefoot park with Kneipp pool was a good one, and the facilities were very well maintained. For €20, the sauna is available for 4 hours in an old wooden hut in the garden. The landlord renovated it himself, giving it a rustic Bavarian, old Alpine hut feel, and there's a relaxation room with recliners suspended from ropes. The house and apartment were absolutely quiet. The road along the Loferau doesn't go anywhere, so there's little traffic, and the property is well away from the busy road into town. The house also has a 10kWh house pond, which came in handy during a one-hour power outage after 10:00 PM. The battery made the outage barely noticeable. Reit im Winkl is very beautiful, with a well-kept town center, decorated houses, and interesting shops. One thing to know: after 9:00 PM you can't get food in Reit im Winkl, or anywhere within a 30-km radius. Other places are easy to reach, including Lake Chiemsee and beautiful Traunstein, both 40 minutes away, and Lake Königssee, an hour away. The price was reasonable, and it was a fantastic vacation in a fantastic apartment. We'll be back!

The host welcomed us so warmly, and we feel very comfortable here. There's especially pure, delicious water available free, which you can fill yourself into a carafe. We'll definitely return. THANK YOU!!!

Apartment 3 was a great base for hikes, in a quiet spot. Florian gave us useful tips for the area and even offered a welcome beer ;). Inside, the apartment was nicely furnished and spotless, with a huge balcony looking over the garden and forest.

Apartment number 2 had just been renovated and furnished, and we felt at home as soon as we arrived. It was clean and well cared for. The big flat-screen TV in the living room has internet access and came in handy on rainy days. Outside, there's a lovely landscaped garden with barbecue areas, somewhere to relax, and a great playground for children. The landlord lives downstairs and was friendly and helpful, sharing plenty of ideas for outings and photo spots. The apartment is in a very quiet spot on the edge of Reit im Winkl, close to a Penny supermarket. The center, forest, and river are all easy to reach. We highly recommend it. The Koch Family
