The Bergstüberl has a beautiful setting with mountain views in every direction. The village is easy to reach on foot, about 700 meters away, with lots of restaurants, an Edeka supermarket, two bakeries, and a butcher. We spent six days there, hosted by the Vlasta family in Heigenhausen. It was a wonderful time, and the apartment was beautiful, clean, and fully equipped.

The sunsets over the Zahmer Kaiser mountain range are breathtaking. I've stayed at Bergstüberl three times now, and the apartments are very well-equipped and in a great location. The Heigenhauser family deserve special mention for their hospitality. I'm already looking forward to coming back.

We've stayed here as a family several times over the past 12 years, in both the annex and the first-floor apartments. The Heigenhauser family are attentive hosts. Access to the property, the apartments' appearance, cleanliness, and friendliness are impeccable. Everything is still beautifully maintained and furnished in Bavarian style after all these years. If I had to find something to criticize, it might be that there's no wood-burning stove in the apartments, but it never bothered us. The setting is quiet with mountain views, but still central. You can set off on hiking trails from the property or take the nearby hiking bus. We love the village festival in Reit im Winkl, the friendly people, and the delicious food. The whole area is so varied, with plenty for people seeking peace and quiet, families, and active vacationers. We'd give our stay more than 5 stars. It's simply breathtaking.

What made the biggest difference for us was Vlasta and Stefan. They were warm and thoughtful without hovering, and when our two-year-old was missing home, they surprised him with a little stuffed animal that cheered him up. The apartment itself is bright, roomy, and comfortable, with a tidy, welcoming outdoor area. The town center and outdoor pool are both easy to reach on foot, and there’s a restaurant close by. We’d happily recommend Bergstüberl and come back. Many thanks to the Heigenhauser family!

Vlasta and Stefan made us feel so welcome, and were helpful without being intrusive. We stayed in July 2024, and our son already wants to return. The apartment we booked as "Am Jochberg" had everything we needed and a lovely rustic feel. It’s about an eight-minute walk to the village center, with the outdoor pool roughly 200 meters away and a very good restaurant just around the corner. A great setup for families with children. Thanks so much, Heigenhauser family 😉
