Gästehaus Hagen

We stayed from December 27, 2023 to January 1, 2024 and were generally satisfied, despite a serious problem on arrival. The guesthouse looks well maintained from the outside and has a typical Bavarian style. Its location in the Blindau district is beautiful and inviting. Our booked 4-star room was adequate and regionally furnished. The open-plan living and kitchen area was exceptionally spacious and well maintained, but the bathroom and sleeping area felt cramped. The bathroom hadn’t been cleaned before we arrived and still had the previous guests’ belongings in it. That’s unacceptable. When we returned the keys today and raised it, the landlord seemed surprised, couldn’t explain what had happened, and gave a rather hesitant apology. We considered the matter closed. There was no safe or hand soap in the bathroom, and having to strip the beds at checkout was unusual for us. The landlord did leave two bottles of beer and a small bottle of sparkling wine for free as a kind gesture. Despite the bathroom issue, Haus Hagen may be suitable for a short break.

The ski storage room has boot warmers, and the house also offers bread delivery. We stayed with our children for a ski holiday at the Hagen family's house. It’s quiet, and the apartment is very well equipped with everything you need. The landlord was friendly, and the rooms were in excellent condition and very clean. The house is above Reit im Winkl, with the Seegatterl valley station just a few minutes away by car.

Our apartment was beautiful, clean, and furnished to a high standard, with everything we needed. The building is quiet and well situated, central to all the sights. The landlord was very friendly and gave us great tips for excursions. We’ll definitely be back.

The apartment’s dishwasher and excellent bread delivery service made it a great fit for a hiking holiday. The landlord was friendly and always available. We stayed in a very nice ground-floor apartment with our adult daughter, who effectively had her own room and en-suite bathroom, which was convenient. The main bathroom is quite small, but that didn’t bother us. We’d consider coming back. We initially booked a vacation rental because of the pandemic.
