Hotel Alt-Lennep

The cosy bar was a highlight for us, especially the beers, which were unlike any I’ve tried in the UK. We stayed at Hotel Alt-Lennep as a family and felt at home from the warm welcome onward. The room was spotless, the beds very comfortable, and the shower excellent. Staff were polite, professional, and always ready to help. It’s in a popular area with shops and restaurants close by, and the calm atmosphere suited both family and business trips. We also enjoyed the service throughout. I’d happily come back and recommend Hotel Alt-Lennep to anyone looking for a great stay. Support their new business, they deserve it!

I prefer a place like this to a big hotel. The building has traditional character and was very clean, the owner’s a really nice guy, and there’s a good choice of food and drinks. I loved staying here. Highly recommended!

The breakfast was a particular pleasure, fresh, varied, and nicely presented. The hotel is clean and well located, and the staff were friendly the whole time. I felt at ease during my stay and would gladly return.

There’s no daily room cleaning, and the breakfast is awful, nothing like the online pictures. It’s uninspired, and the quality is poor. When I’m on vacation, that’s not what I want. You’d be better off at Steinbrink, which opens at 5 a.m. and serves food ten times better. The online presentation doesn’t match what you get here. When I politely raised these issues with the owners, they were rude and threatened to call the police. There are homeless people outside and people smoking weed, so I didn’t feel comfortable here. Hotel König 👑 is much better. It costs 30 euros more, but you get real service, attentive and friendly staff, and nice women clean and restock the rooms every day. There’s a minibar too. The breakfast there is fantastic, beautifully presented, with superb service. They really look after you, and I can only recommend it. I’m now staying at the Hotel Alt Lennep, so I can see the difference in price.
