I’m already looking forward to coming back to the Westerwald. The restaurant’s picture windows made a lovely setting, and everything I tried was delicious and full of flavor, from the fresh spring asparagus with butter and the Spätsel to the coffee ice cream with crunch, which you shouldn’t miss. The room was spacious and spotless. Service was warm and attentive without hovering, and the forest paths nearby made this a charming, peaceful retreat.

The family-run place had a friendly, welcoming feel, and the price was good for what you get. I was there for two nights for a local wedding. My room was comfortable, clean, and roomy. I also had dinner one evening and tried the Spargel burger, since Spargel is famous in the area. It was very nice. I’d happily stay here again if I’m in the area.

After walking the Rheinsteig Trail, we spotted the hotel sign while looking for somewhere to stay. The guy from the hotel spoke perfect english and was really helpful, doing his best to make things work until he found us a room. We had dinner there too, with local wine from the region and a few beers. We loved the hospitality and would recommend the place to anyone. It’s tucked just off the main street.
