I’d stayed here before and it hadn’t been this bad. This time I checked in late to a room that was just 11C, with the heating off. Even after turning it on, it only reached 14.5C by morning, so I had to sleep in my jacket. The receptionist just shrugged and said the heating gets turned down at night, as if that settled it.

Breakfast was delicious, with plenty of choices, and the room and bathroom were clean. The staff were very friendly, too. You can speak English at reception if you don’t speak German. It’s also close to the main station, a small supermarket, and a taxi stand.

The restaurant food was delicious, though a bit pricey, and the rooms were comfortable but simple. What really stood out was the friendly staff. They went out of their way to make my stay enjoyable.

Being close to the Bahn station was very handy. The hotel is a little expensive, though, and the restaurant is closed on Saturdays and Sundays, so breakfast is the only meal available then.
