Really nice apartment.

The place was clean and the bed was already made when we arrived. The hall had some lovely holiday decorations, and the location is great, with plenty of shops behind the complex. The weather was so poor that we couldn't explore much nearby, so we'll have to return. 😉😊 For anyone with mobility needs, there are a few difficulties: the wooden entrance ramp gets quite slippery when wet, and the front door is awkward because it won't stay open while you're going in. Some of the heavy doors inside won't stay open either. The apartment is on the ground floor, but there's no accessible equipment such as grab bars by the toilet or a shower chair.

This is a great base for exploring Lower Saxony: the house is quiet, close to the center, and near Aldi, Lidl, and other supermarkets. Parking is right at the property, and you pick up the key from a secure box by the door. The price was competitive, and I highly recommend it. Apartmenthotel an der Wieke also has a satellite apartment at Neuer Weg 17, about 500 meters from Sudwieke 10. It's a large detached house with fully equipped holiday apartments, well suited to big groups. Our group had 25 people. Apartment 4, for instance, has five bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large living room, and a fully equipped kitchen with two refrigerators, a dishwasher, an induction cooktop with an oven, and a washing machine. There's a terrace by the entrance, and barbecuing and secure bicycle storage are available.
