The early check-in made a huge difference. I’d come off a sleepless flight and still had work that day, so I really appreciated the staff making the effort. I know early check-in can be uncommon in Europe. The room was spacious and had a clothes-drying rack, a fridge, a bathrobe, and slippers. Breakfast had plenty of variety, and I left feeling rested for the rest of my trip.

The staff were great and the hotel was nice, but the Wi-Fi was so bad I couldn't get any work done on my business trip. I wouldn't recommend it if you need Wi-Fi or are relying on roaming.

Right in Rheinfelden's shopping area, Hochrhein-Center, with H&M and Miller just downstairs at street level. Other shops nearby cover food, clothes, housewares, and cosmetics, which is handy. You reach the hotel by elevator from the street up to the third floor. My room was modern and clean, with a balcony, and the service was friendly. I didn't have breakfast, so I can't comment on the food.
