Ferienhaus Schwörer

Our group had a very unpleasant weekend and felt uncomfortable because we had the impression we were being watched. Other reviews describe similar experiences. A camera on the property hadn’t been mentioned on-site, raising serious privacy and data protection concerns. The guest-count and refund arrangements weren’t carried out as discussed, and some messages were exchanged outside Airbnb, which Airbnb’s rules don’t permit. After that, communication became unpleasant and unconstructive, and we felt badly treated. We reported the incident to the relevant authorities. Anyone who cares about privacy and transparent communication should avoid this accommodation.

We liked the house, but found it hard to communicate with the landlord.

Inside, the holiday home is cozy, bright, very clean, and surprisingly spacious, with three floors, bedrooms, showers, a bathtub, toilets, a large living room and hallway. The kitchen is roomy and well equipped for cooking, and even had the coffee machine ready to use. There’s a small garden with a barbecue and lawn, and it’s near Europa-Park. It can accommodate up to 10 people. From outside, you don’t get a sense of how much space there is. The tall industrial fence takes away from the otherwise pleasant feel, though that’s a matter of taste, and the area behind it may not be very attractive. The problem was the tiny flies. There were countless of them in the rooms when we arrived, possibly from the flowerpots, and we had to deal with them ourselves. When we complained, the landlord brushed it off as unimportant and made us feel irritated. Such a shame.

I wouldn’t trust this host. Better to book a different Airbnb.
