The food was excellent, and the house and surroundings were beautiful. Our room was spacious and nice. There’s no AC, which could be a challenge, though the large roof windows help.

We finally found this place after visiting the area so many times and exploring the part of town across the country road. The garden is lovely and peaceful, with a terrace, and there’s a pleasant modern dining room inside. The rooms and bathrooms are very nice and modern too. The hospitality was unusually warm and welcoming. It’s a bright, beautiful spot, almost an oasis, with a small, lovely gallery and art exhibition. You can come for dinner as well as coffee. Highly recommended, and we’ll definitely be back.

The staff were very friendly, and the room itself was good. It’s a shame the bathroom grout was dirty, and the windows couldn’t be darkened, so daylight was already coming in from 6 a.m. Breakfast was a real disappointment. At €17.50, I expected a buffet, but instead they brought a small selection to the table. As a vegetarian, I was served salami and ham, two half slices of cheese, and some jam, plus a mini croissant and two small rolls. When I asked, they brought a small plate of scrambled eggs, but it tasted only of margarine. The drinks felt especially cheeky. They served coffee without asking, even though I don’t drink it, and there was just a mini glass of orange juice. A refill would have cost another €1.30. For that price, I found it an absolute rip-off. A real shame.
