We came to explore the Bavarian forest and loved how peaceful and welcoming the place felt. The rooms are dated, with furniture that seems at least a decade old, but we found that charming, and everything was clean and tidy. The people looking after the place were consistently friendly, and we had no issues. Breakfast was simple, filling, and nutritious. There’s also a little fridge stocked with beer: you write down what you take and pay fair prices at checkout. It’s a small detail, but it really gave the place a small-town feel. Getting here by public transport isn’t ideal. The bus stops are a 10-15 minute walk away. That didn’t bother me much since we came to walk in the Bavarian forest, and the pension gives you a card that lets you use the local buses for free. My girlfriend and I had a great few days here.

The setting by the forest is peaceful, and the location is fantastic. It was easy enough to reach on foot. The owners are older, but attentive and took good care of their guests. The guesthouse itself is older too, though cozy and clean. Breakfast was simple and good. For the price, I'd recommend it.

For the low price, you get a room and breakfast, and I felt the value was fair. The room was clean and a typical size. Like many Bavarian guesthouses, the decor is dated. The mattress wasn't very soft, though I would have preferred something firmer. Breakfast was good enough for me. Don't expect a five-star room or meal at this price.

I spent four days here taking photos at Tierfreigelande, and plan to return in spring. Elisabeth, the owner, was kind and attentive throughout. The room matched its description, had a nice balcony, was very clean, and the bathroom linens were changed daily. Breakfast was good, and parking felt both convenient and safe. It's a modest guesthouse on the forest's edge, overlooking a large green area. It's quiet and away from the noise. I'd recommend it if you're not expecting luxury.

The prices are excellent, and it's a good place to relax. The rooms are clean. The guesthouse feels a bit dated, as do the friendly owners.
