Hotel Krone

The constant traffic outside made it really hard to sleep, especially in season when you need the windows open for cool air. If you live in a city, maybe it won’t bother you as much. The room itself was lovely, and the staff were very friendly even though I don’t speak German. The restaurant deserves five stars: our meal was excellent, and they made the fish dinner just the way we like it.

They made us feel like royalty, even better than family, and were patient with us despite our limited German. This was our first trip away since arriving in Germany, and Hotel Krone made it a wonderful weekend. We loved the art and the Saints around the hotel, including the Scared Heart of Jesus just outside our door, watching over us. The food was piping hot and full of flavor, and breakfast came with plenty of fresh bread, meat, and fruit. After lots of biking, it was great to have somewhere to store our bikes. The shower and bath had lovely hot water, and there were lots of cabinets for our clothes. I still haven't got used to German pillows. The small room fridge was stocked with things for sale, so there wasn't space for our own items. We used the Luca app to check in for meals, which made eating out easy. We saw the garden dining area, and it looked great, but didn't get a chance to try it. We plan to return to the area for all the places to hike, bike, and swim. My wife loved it too, which makes for a happy life. Thanks for a great weekend!

Pets were allowed for a small extra charge, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The interiors were beautiful, the room was nice, and breakfast was good. Everything else about the hotel was great, though I didn't find the bed very comfortable.

The restaurant was great too, with huge meals served on two separate plates so the food stayed warm while we ate. Our room and bathroom were big and clean, the bed was comfortable, breakfast was good, and parking was near the hotel. Amazing place, highly recommended.
