My little attic room was lovely, and the hotel felt both beautiful and cosy. It was wonderfully quiet, too. There’s no elevator, but the location is perfect, and breakfast was simple and good.

A very nice place to stay for a reasonable price - hotel "Altstadt Hotel" is located in Detmold. This hotel is located in the very center of the city. In the morning, have a cup of coffee while looking at the city from the window. You can take a walk and explore the neighbourhood area of the hotel. Places nearby: Pedestrian Area Detmold, Aqualip and German Tractor and Model Car Museum.

The suite was great and the hotel itself very comfortable. Staff were really friendly. Breakfast is limited, though there are several bakeries nearby if you want more options.

A beautiful hotel, clean and well maintained. I stayed here and was very happy with it. It’s non-smoking, too.

The location is very central, and breakfast was good. Our beds were okay, and the staff were attentive and very friendly. Our street-facing room, though, was noisy and too bright at night because of the streetlights. The bathroom could have been cleaner, especially the clearly dirty tiles beside the light switch.

The room was quite bare, but practical, and the bathroom was modern. The breakfast buffet had plenty to choose from, and the location was fantastic. Staff were friendly, though a little abrupt. We had a pleasant stay, thank you.
