Gästehaus Ballmann 2

We had a wonderful stay, and the place works well as a starting point for exploring the area. The village itself isn’t much to look at, but Gerolstein has good restaurants and supermarkets, and it’s an easy drive to get around. There’s a big living room with a TV, plus a roomy bedroom with shutters that block out all the light. The bathroom is spacious too, though the shower could be bigger and the water pressure a little stronger. Still, the different shower settings made for a good shower. Cooking was easy in the well-equipped kitchen. There’s no dishwasher or freezer, but it has pretty much everything else you need, and a small spot to sit and eat. Outside, there’s a covered table area with comfy garden chairs and a little patch of grass. I wanted to barbecue, and they brought us coals and firelighters. There’s a nice barbecue in the garden for guests to use. When we needed clean towels, we got fresh ones straight away.

For a proper break from everyday life, the Ballmanns' place is just right. They do all they can to make a holiday relaxing, and if you need anything, they sort it out right away. The rooms and kitchen have everything you need. Gerolstein is no more than an 8-minute drive for supermarkets, and Hillesheim is only a little farther. We'd love to come back.

The area is lovely, and Marcel and Claudia Ballmann, the young couple who own the place, do their best to make guests feel welcome. We’ve stayed at the Ballmann guesthouse several times, and the apartments have always been beautiful and well kept. We’re happy to recommend them and will keep coming back for a few days at a time. The apartment has everything you need, and the private terrace and grill make it a nice spot to relax. It’s also not far from the Nürburgring or the maars. Everything was great!
