There's a store, restaurant and bus stop nearby, and Alexanderplatz is about a 10-minute walk away. I found the location really convenient. The room is small but comfortable for two, and it was quiet. Breakfast was decent, with four kinds of meat, cheese and lots of yogurt. I liked the hotel, and the underground parking is discounted to 7.50.

For one or two nights, ibis budget is our usual choice. The price is good and the rooms are very basic, with just what you need. The beds are comfortable and the staff are friendly. If you're out exploring the city all day, why spend more?

Parking is reasonably priced, but you'll need cash and have to tell reception you're using it to get the discount. The staff were quite nice. Our compact room was clean, the towels were replaced daily, and breakfast was modest but tasty. It worked well for a 1-2 night family stay, and the child loved their bed. The shower felt cramped and uncomfortable, with little privacy. The toilet had no lock or trash bin.

Getting advice for a 2am trip to the airport was frustrating. Reception couldn't suggest a helpful option or a trusted service and told me to work it out myself. The location was good, but the very small room had an odd layout, no safe, and nowhere to hang clothes or towels. I wouldn't recommend it.

The location was the only good thing. Staff seemed annoyed and didn't look like they wanted to be there. The shower had hair in it, the TV didn't work, and the beds were terribly uncomfortable. Never again.
