Gästehaus Kleiner Muck

The location in Glückstadt is very convenient, though the facilities are quite basic. Breakfasts were fantastic, and my daughter loved the place. I was a very tired, frail 74-year-old, and those steep staircases were a rough first impression. My bed was in the loft, where the maximum height was less than my own 163 cm. I got used to crawling around on all fours. The manager/landlady was charming and helpful much of the time. But after my daughter and her family left, I was there alone for two days, and she became very unempathetic. When I asked for another toilet roll, I was questioned about it. I was checking out a day early after paying for the whole booking, and her reluctance to give me a roll felt inappropriate and rude. Most of the guests seemed older. Since we were travelling with a two-year-old, perhaps we weren't entirely welcome.
