ibis Styles Rosenheim

The location is great, and breakfast was okay. They even serve filter coffee, which was a nice surprise. Still, the rooms are tiny and dated, and the corridor is so noisy you hear everyone passing. The connecting doors were very dirty, and the reception staff seemed inept. It didn’t meet our standards, so I wouldn’t stay here again despite the location.

After an hour waiting in the lobby with no result, I found another hotel myself. My paid, non-refundable room had been sold more than once, and the staff knew about it but only tried to sort things out when I arrived. Reception was incompetent, management couldn’t be reached, and I’m still waiting for my refund.

The room was clean, but breakfast was disappointing: the croissants ran out and weren’t replaced. We also found it awkward to reach our second-floor room, since we had to carry our suitcases up stairs after taking the elevator. The staff were friendly, though. Google Maps sent us to the wrong side of the hotel. We wandered for nearly half an hour with a small child before figuring out where it was. Try searching for Brixstraße 3 instead of the hotel name. We’d been told payment would be in cash, but our card was charged without warning. That felt unprofessional.

For what it costs, I’d have liked a little extra, like coffee or tea in the room.
