B&B Hotel Rostock City-West

The price was reasonable too, and I’d absolutely recommend the place to family and friends. It worked really well for a family stay. Our room was on the small side but nice, with comfortable beds and a clean bathroom. The bunk bed was especially cool for the kids. We had a rental car tire problem, so I asked the young man on the morning shift if we could check out late. He smiled and said it was no problem. In my 14 days in Germany, he was the first German man I’d met who was so polite and friendly. I appreciated his attitude and hope others learn to be kind to people.

I arrived around 2 a.m. and eventually got through the tedious automated check-in outside. But the room hadn’t been cleaned after the previous guest. The bedding was bundled on the floor, the towels were used, and the bins were full. I half expected someone else to still be staying there. I looked for a phone number to reach staff but couldn’t find one, so I left and emailed in the morning. They replied quickly, saying they could do nothing without evidence. I hadn’t taken a photo when I arrived. Looking back, I should have, but after travelling all day and arriving at 2 a.m., it didn’t occur to me. I ended up paying for a room I couldn’t use, and honestly, the hotel seemed not to care. I later checked into the Radisson, where the hotel, service, and staff were the complete opposite and couldn’t have been better. Do not stay at the B&B Hotel Rostock City-West!

Everything else was fine, but the prepaid parking space wasn’t available. I had to make several loops around the narrow parking area to find a spot, and ended up parking in a place marked “no parking” that at least had your hotel logo.

The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable, and even had a hairdryer, though there was no fridge or kettle. Parking and bringing pets caused no problems. Breakfast was tasty, with fresh bread and good coffee, but the vegan selection was limited. A good option for one night on a trip.
