FeWo Strandblick

The sea view is lovely, though the windows were really dirty. The nearby hotel has its delivery entrance right across from the bedroom, and the laundry cart arrives on Tuesdays at 7 a.m. Inside, the apartment is roomy, cozy, and nicely furnished, and it's well located near the beach. Check-in was easy, and the staff were very friendly. The shower head seems to have been replaced and doesn't sit in its holder anymore. Someone had taped it to the rail. The drain was clogged, and it wasn't because of us.

The apartment itself is very nice, but the beds were the bigger problem. They're much too low, the mattresses are worn, and they creak so badly that turning over wakes you up. There aren't any mosquito screens anywhere in the apartment either, so with all the mosquitoes, opening a window wasn't possible. They should put money into fixing these things instead of just taking what they want. That's why I'm giving it only 3 stars.

We keep coming back to Strandblick in the run-up to Christmas, and in 2020 it'll be our third year in a row. Warnemünde is always worth a visit, and this place, about 50m from the beach, is just right for a few days of relaxing without having to give anything up. The landlord and staff take care of things very professionally, and it's a luxury place at a good price. The center and the town's main attraction are only a few minutes on foot. That attraction is the open-air pool, heated to 30 degrees, right by the Baltic Sea. We also like taking the train to Rostock's Christmas market, which is only a few minutes away. For us, it's the nicest one in the north.

We've always been more than satisfied and are happy to return. Mr. Reinhard Wendorf wasn't a guest here, surely, since fly screens have been in place for years. His comments about the beds and noise are wrong too.
