The Baltic Sea is only about a 10-minute walk away, and the natural surroundings give the place a lovely feel. We found the staff and accommodation top-notch, and the atmosphere was calming from the moment we arrived. Our dog settled in too, making friends right away with the friendly alpacas nearby. A lovely place to recharge, and highly recommended.

We didn't get much time to enjoy the spa during our short stay, though what we saw left a good impression. The apartment had everything we needed and was quiet and peaceful. Our dog was welcome, and the walk to the beach was a little longer than we'd expected, but still pleasant with a dog. The pillows were softer than I like, though that's just personal preference. I'd recommend staying here.

We rented bikes for the kids and adults, and the hotel provided public bus passes for getting downtown or to the beach. My extended family spent a week at the Strandhafer, and it was a parent's dream, with lots for the kids to do in a quiet, rural setting.

I want to revise my review. The hotel and staff are great, and they didn't do anything wrong. I reacted badly to a situation I'd blown out of proportion. Just keep in mind that in July and August the spa only opens in the evening.

The pool area was clean and nicely kept, and breakfast had a good selection. Our room was lovely and clean, and the staff were so kind and cheerful. We had a fantastic stay and will definitely be back.
