Set in a quiet little forest, the hostel felt idyllic, with a bit of school-trip atmosphere thrown in for free :p. We booked a night for three adults and one child and were pleasantly surprised. The owner welcomed us so warmly and looked after us wonderfully. Our four-bed room and the adjoining bathroom were very clean, with nothing to complain about.
We could walk to the sea in about 15 minutes, and the hostel was perfect for our short group trip. The owner and manager was especially lovely, super friendly and easy to deal with. Our four-bed cabins were simple but clean, functional, well equipped, and in excellent shape; the adjoining bathroom was also clean, roomy, and in great condition. The common room had everything we needed, including seating and a kitchen. I'd definitely come back. Highly recommended if you just need a no-frills room.
We were impressed by the big kitchen and dining area, and the ground-floor rooms open through patio-style doors that make you feel close to nature. Our four-bed room had its own bathroom and shower, and everything was clean and quiet. This is a lovely privately run hostel. Heike and André gave us a warm welcome, and we felt very comfortable with them. We'd gladly return.
The location at the entrance to Markgrafenheide worked well for us. A couple of restaurants are only minutes away on foot, the long beach is a short bike ride, and the climbing park is very close. The ferry to Warnemünde takes about 10-15 minutes by bike. There's plenty of parking and bike storage, too. On our second visit, we spent seven summer days in a family setup of two rooms with a shared bathroom, for two adults and three children, and felt right at home. The rooms were clean, spacious, and stylish, and we loved cooking, eating, reading, and chatting with other guests in the shared kitchen and dining room. Heike and André run the place themselves and are incredibly friendly and accommodating. They quickly brought in an extra clothes rack and would have set up a second fridge if needed. We wish them lots of energy, support, kind guests, good luck, and mosquito-free weather as they grow the hostel. We'd love to come back! The Kopetschke Family from Berlin
The hosts were so kind, and cycling to Warnemünde was easy. For a short break with bikes, this is a great alternative to an expensive hotel, especially at such a good price. We'd happily stay again.
