The room was fancily appointed, though I can't say whether all the rooms are like that. Ours had a large bed, two comfortable pillows, two very thick duvets, a standalone bathtub in the room, a full shower room with a rainfall shower, and really neat LED lights. The shower head could use descaling, since hard-water marks and blocked holes made some sprays go sideways. The bed's pleather headboard was a bit worn. Those were very minor things and didn't take away a star for me. The hotel looks classically German from outside, great for photos, and the cobblestone street adds to the countryside feel. The location is hard to beat, just a few minutes' walk from the Rudesheim market and cable car ride. The station is about a 15-minute hike away. With a suitcase, I'd head south out of the station and walk along the main road beside the river, then north to the hotel, since the stone roads are tough on wheeled luggage. Breakfast was nicely presented with good variety, and the dining area was spotless and dressed up for Christmas. Several reception staff I met came from different parts of Europe and did their very best to communicate with us in English. Everyone was friendly. I had a wonderful time and now wish we'd booked a few extra nights. If I visit Rudesheim again, I'd happily book here. I'll add some photos later.

We only stayed one night while passing through, but I'd stay longer if I get the chance to return. The room was large and clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast had a good choice of hot and cold food. The Christmas market and cable car are just minutes away.

The young woman at breakfast was outstanding, caring and observant, and quick to serve. The daily price was very reasonable. Our room was very clean and bright, with up-to-date modern fixtures. Thanks for a great set of memories!

This isn't a four-star hotel anywhere in the world. Don't go! I arrived around 23:00, when reception wasn't open, and couldn't get hold of anyone at the hotel. There was a phone number available, but nobody answered. Eventually, after chatting with an assistant from the app I used to book the room, the owner turned up. The gentleman was unpleasant and irritated that I was using the wrong app. How was I supposed to know? And the rooms? One star. A word of advice for you and your business: try to find solutions to your problems instead of making the customer responsible for them. 😉

I've lost count of how many times we've stayed here. The hotel and staff are fantastic, and the owner and her team are amazing, helpful, and knowledgeable. The breakfasts are lovely, and the service is second to none. I wouldn't stay at another hotel in this beautiful town. Thanks again for another lovely visit. Hope to be back soon.
