We’ve been happily coming here to eat for several years. The menu has Pomeranian cuisine as well as delicious dishes from Rheinhessen. Right now there’s a fantastic asparagus menu featuring local asparagus.

The Rüdesheimer coffee was a dream. The service was incredibly funny and friendly, and everything we had was delicious. When we couldn’t make sense of the ship’s schedule, they quickly made a few calls and helped us out.

The family has my sincere thanks and respect for everything they’ve achieved over the decades. I wish them all the best for an exciting new chapter after my time at the hotel. From 2008 to 2020, I came to the hotel and restaurant every Saturday to unwind after demanding but rewarding sales work with Inter and Allianz. As I drove toward Eltville in my convertible, Frankfurt’s weekday rush seemed to fall away, and reaching Hotel Post meant the weekend had begun. The welcoming family feel, good food, friendly staff, and lovely location were just what I wanted. Sometimes I’d drive on to the Lorelei, then head back toward Frankfurt at sunset feeling a little sad to leave, but refreshed and full of energy.
