We didn't stay at the hotel, but we did eat at its restaurant. The outdoor dining area was beautiful, right by the river and covered in vines. Service was very good. I really enjoyed my Jager schnitzel and roasted potatoes, though my fiance thought her pork medallions tasted off. We came back the next day for coffee and a practice waffle, and both were very enjoyable.

Our restaurant visit was unfortunately a very negative experience. We were the second party to arrive after opening, but while later-arriving guests at the surrounding tables were served, our order was forgotten. After 40 minutes I asked the waiter, who said it would be five more minutes. When I went inside, I found out the kitchen was only then starting to make our food. A woman, perhaps the owner, said she didn't care if we cancelled and left. She also said this wasn't a McDonald's and that we should go there if we wanted fast food. She was dismissive and rude, and her tone was unprofessional. The food we eventually got was rushed: an undercooked shrimp salad, a cold main dish, and a Wiener schnitzel that may have been from the freezer. If you're taking the chairlift anyway, the hunting lodge restaurant up the hill is more welcoming and a better choice.

The Rhine view room was a great choice. The gentle waves and fresh air felt magical, and the terrace was beautiful. There's also a large free car park with room for buses. The rooms were clean and had new, modern bathrooms, and the breakfast buffet was excellent. The owner has clearly put a lot of effort into the place. It blends modern touches with traditional German ambience, and the service, staff, and food were all wonderful and very friendly. I definitely recommend it!

We arrived in the evening and were greeted by lovely, friendly staff who spoke perfect English, much better than my German. Our large double room was spotless, with a wet room and a comfortable bed. We ate outside and the food was excellent, reasonably priced, and served with a smile. Lovely views and private parking too. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommended.

We didn't stay because we wanted to be in Rüdesheim for personal reasons, and this hotel is 6 km away. We had made a reservation, but the mistake was ours. The staff were great about cancelling it and even arranged a lovely hotel for us in the next town. I'm sure staying here would be really nice. Recommended!
