Hotel Lindenwirt

We travelled with our 4yo and 6yo for the Rüdesheim Christmas Market. The rooms were clean, the staff friendly, and there was a lift if needed. The restaurant on site was good, and the location worked well for the market.

I can’t comment on the rooms at Hotel Lindenwirt since I only stopped in the courtyard for a drink. I enjoyed it enough to come back a few days later. It’s in an excellent spot, the drink was fairly priced, and the service was polite. A lovely place to have a drink, and I’d recommend it for that.

We only ate at the restaurant, we didn’t stay at the hotel. If that meal counts as dinner, it was the worst food I can remember having. The prices were high for such terrible food. I wouldn’t recommend eating there.

The room was large, the location excellent, and the German breakfast very nice. But the shower was a real problem. The tub was narrow and high, hard to stand in and difficult to step into without help. The warm water kept turning cold and then warm again while I showered. I wasn’t happy with it. The TV remote didn’t work until we replaced the batteries, and even then there were only a few channels, none in English. It also wasn’t quiet, with a loud band playing late. We stayed just one night and won’t be back.
