The place looks even better in person than in the photos. Communication before arrival and when we got there was very friendly, and it felt like home straight away. It’s in a very quiet location, with two lovely balconies. The apartment itself is beautiful, modern, spacious, and spotlessly clean, with everything you need. A great extra is the Chiemgau Card, which guests receive and which covers lots of activities, including mountain lifts, swimming pools, museums, and the Fly-Line.

You can hardly hear anything beyond the sheep bleating and the brook babbling, and the landlady gave us excellent hiking tips. The charm of the old farmhouse, its modern renovation, and the care put into the details make this a distinctive apartment. It has everything you need. It’s a little dark, but very spacious, and our two setters had plenty of room in the hallway.

It was a lovely, idyllic place to stay, even through a rainy summer, and the apartment made us happy to take things easy. Sheep came by on the mountainside in the mornings and evenings, while cows and goats were on the other side. Mrs. Maier and her young daughter were very nice, and gave clear, knowledgeable answers to our questions. We’ll definitely return. We feel completely at ease there.
