Gästehaus am Wasserpark

The beds were comfortable, breakfast was great, and the staff were friendly and clearly worked hard. The rooms are basic but very clean, and there’s lots of parking. You can walk to both Europa-Park and Rulantica. It got warm inside without air-con, though sleeping with the window open and a fan was fine. I’d stay again if we come back to Europa-Park.

The rooms were roomy and comfortable, and breakfast set us up well for the park. We walked to Europa-Park and back on both days, about 20 minutes each way, and had time to wander around Rust on our last day. There’s a supermarket just a few minutes away, handy for picking up a quick bite. Gästehaus am Wasserpark made for a lovely stay and was good value. I’d recommend it for a Europa-Park visit.

For two adults, our two nights in November 2024 came to 125€ through Booking.com, which I found more than acceptable. The price is the best part, and I’d book here again in Rust. It’s about a 20-minute walk to Europapark, with a Lidl just a minute away. Breakfast is included at the BFB restaurant next door, where they also make good burgers. Parking and Wi-Fi are included too. The room had comfortable beds, a TV with German channels, and its own shower and toilet. Afternoon arrivals get the keys in an envelope; the instructions and safe PIN came by email. Service was good. My one complaint is that you can hear and understand people talking normally in the other rooms, so the sound insulation could be better. Still, I’d recommend the hotel to people visiting Rust.

The rooms were clean, spacious, and nice, and the service was pretty good. If you’re staying to visit Europa park, you can get a free parking ticket. The park is only 1.5 km away anyway.
