The room was a decent size and had what its category promised, and the hotel is easy to reach, not far from the Autobahn. There’s free parking out front, and the place has a nice family-mansion feel. Nothing much to fault apart from the shower head fitting, which needs repair. The HRS rate turned out to be wrong. The hotel called to tell me the price was higher, leaving me with little real choice since I needed somewhere to sleep. I’ll see whether that fits HRS’s policy after I complain.

I wouldn’t recommend it. The free WiFi barely works, and the heating was off even though night temperatures were dropping below 10 degrees. The toilet paper felt like sandpaper. Rooms weren’t cleaned properly, and towels and even the welcome candy were taken away. The furniture looks cheap and shabby, as does the building and its interior generally.

It’s OK for the price, and the rooms are clean enough, though not very big. Getting to the center takes about 10 minutes by bus. For food, you have to take the train one stop to the nearest McDonald’s. The WiFi disconnects when you don’t use it, and iPhone users may have trouble logging in.

The bed was comfortable, but the restaurant, bar, and soft drink machine were all locked, so tap water was the only option. Getting to the airport means taking a bus or taxi. What’s advertised here certainly doesn’t match what you get.

The buffet breakfast was pleasant, and the staff were friendly. The room itself was simple and basic, but clean enough.
