The rooms were clean and fine, and the breakfast buffet was adequate. Service was very good. The toilet, though, isn't suitable for tall people.

Everything was tiny and cramped, and the rooms were extremely dirty. There was mold in the bathroom and stains everywhere. The room next door was in the same condition, so changing rooms wouldn't have solved it. It's unacceptable that the mold and toilet brush only become apparent after someone has decided to stay.

The staff deserve six stars for being so friendly and helpful. We were completely satisfied, and would definitely stay again. The location is fantastic, parking is available, and the beach is only a five-minute walk away. Breakfast had lots of variety and something for everyone. Our bathroom was separate from the room but private, with its own key, so nobody else used it. Reception wasn't staffed, but online check-in was still fairly quick.

Check-in was a bit cumbersome because we had to pick up our room keys at another hotel. Aside from that, Meereswoge is well worth considering for a short break. It's close to the beach, and although the rooms are quite small, they were clean and thoughtfully detailed with decorations, books, and a small toiletry kit. The mattresses were comfortable and the bathroom was clean. Breakfast was good in both quality and quantity, with everything you could want. Just note that not every room has an en-suite bathroom.
