We had a joint birthday meal at this village hotel and restaurant, and it was a mixed experience. Everyone else really enjoyed their meals, and the wait was worth it for them. My rump steak was very marbled and streaky; I ordered medium plus, but I should have known fillet suits me better. Just a first-time mistake. The friendly staff and atmosphere helped make up for the disappointment. It wasn’t expensive for everything we ate over a couple of hours, and nearby parking is possible. I’d go again, but I’d order something else.

We come here every year before Christmas 🎄 and always go for the duck, either with red cabbage and dumplings or with vegetables and dumplings. The food is delicious, and the chef, who owns the Ratskeller, cooks wonderfully. I highly recommend it 👍
