Haus Jasmin

The beds are good and the rooms clean, but the place feels quite dated. There's mold in the shower, and the kitchen gear looks like a mismatched flea market collection. The TV kept malfunctioning.

You can set out hiking right from the guesthouse, which is beautifully situated. We spent Pentecost weekend there with our little family and had a perfect stay from beginning to end. The rooms are thoughtfully laid out, the beds comfortable, and the host has plenty of tourist information, so all our questions were answered.

We'd booked apartment 8 but ended up in apartment 7, supposedly the same place. It had twin beds that couldn't be joined, and the worn mattresses need replacing soon. The kitchen was very basic, with no wine glasses, pot holders or spices. In the living room there was no sofa, just a pull-out bed with pillows, and the armchairs weren't much good for relaxing after a hike. The terrace was untidy, though otherwise lovely, and the view was lovely too. We did enjoy the amenities, including the pool table, foosball, table tennis, sauna and solarium. We're returning to beautiful St. Andreasberg next year, but will choose another apartment.

We had a really peaceful stay and enjoyed the garden. The house and apartment were clean and well equipped, and the landlord was quick to help whenever anything came up. The furnishings are a little dated but did the job, and we slept well in the good bed and mattresses. Our dog was welcome too. We highly recommend Haus Jasmin.
