The location is convenient, just across the road from the river, a few minutes’ walk from the center and near the river cruise boat stop. Breakfast was included and okay, though there wasn’t much choice. Prices were reasonable, and the room was quite big with okay beds and a minibar. But there’s no 24-hour reception. The hotel looked almost closed when we arrived, though a woman was at reception. The railway is right next door, and trains passed every ten minutes with loud bangs at night. The room seemed to shake, and I couldn’t sleep. The shower was really bad and may need refurbishing. The room didn’t get very warm even with the heating on, and one bathroom towel had brown spots and didn’t look clean. I’d replace those.

An ideal spot if you want a railway right beside your window. With thousands of bugs and all that traffic noise, it really brings back the feel of life out in the wild!

A first-class hotel, and you can have as much breakfast as you want. We’ve stayed here for a week every year for the past six years.

It’s an old hotel across from the Rhein River, with free parking and clean rooms. The breakfast buffet is available, the beds are comfortable, and there’s free Wi-Fi. There’s no lift. It’s close to the Rhein Ferry, boat trips, and the train station, with good connections north and south.
